As a Clinical Fellow, we want you to join to the Parkinson’s Disease Research Clinic to support outpatient assessments, research studies and clinical trials focused on Parkinson’s Disease and related conditions.

The Clinical Fellow would work closely with Prof Simon Lewis and will have the opportunity to develop both clinical and research expertise, predominantly in the field of Parkinson’s Disease and related conditions. The role will involve working across a number of clinical trials targeting disease modification and symptomatic relief, as well as getting exposure to a range of research platforms including neuroimaging, neurophysiology, polysomnography and other biomarkers. The position could also be accredited as an elective year for a Neurology or Geriatrics Advanced Training program with prior approval from the relevant Specialist Training Committee.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to the research program and work towards first author publications. A key focus of the Fellowship will be building and developing the successful candidate’s research experience, clinical knowledge and professional development.

About You
You will be a Medical Practitioner with a keen interest in Neurology or Geriatrics Who has completed a medical degree and holds AHPRA registration at the level of Medical Officer or above. You should demonstrate experience or an interest in the field of neurodegenerative disease and have experience working with patients with cognitive impairment. You should possess a professional and collaborative approach to research, liaising and working with research nurses, allied health professionals and the broader care team.
